Dr. Shatha Atiya, Psy.D., is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist. A graduate of Nova Southeastern University, Dr. Atiya attained a fellowship working with severely emotionally handicapped and/or disturbed children and adolescents. Dr. Atiya has a forensic subspecialty through interning at Atlantic Shores South Florida State Hospital, Broward County Public Defenders Office, and the Federal Detention Center. Dr. Atiya provides individual, family and group psychotherapy for adults, adolescents, and children. Dr. Atiya is bilingual in Arabic and English and equipped to translate and administer Psychological and Forensic evaluations in Arabic. She also administers psycho-educational and gifted evaluations. She is certified and qualified to administer Competency and Sanity Evaluations for all courts throughout the State of Florida. Dr. Atiya treats Mood and Bipolar Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorders, Anxiety, Women and Relationship Issues, Trauma, Domestic Violence/ Battered Women, Family Dysfunction, Stress Management, Relaxation Techniques, Communication and Social Skills, Parenting Skills, Anger Management, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder School and Behavioral Problems.
