Mr. Ritchey has been practicing psychotherapy in the South Florida area for the past six years. He was worked at the PRIDE Institute of Fort Lauderdale Hospital, at the Renfrew Center for Eating Disorders, and as a therapist and mobile crisis clinician for Henderson Mental Health Center. Mr. Ritchey has also been working in private practice since 2006 specializing in the treatment of LGBTQ issues, HIV/AIDS, depression and anxiety disorders, relationship problems, self-esteem improvement, and eating disorders.

Mr. Ritchey approaches therapy from an eclectic point of view by blending together the humanistic, existential, and cognitive-behavioral schools of thought. Mr. Ritchey works hard to provide a safe space for clients to grow while also challenging them to confront their fears in order to live life with greater purpose and meaning. Clients coming to see Mr. Ritchey can look forward to working with a therapist who is intensely compassionate, highly experienced, insightful, and genuine.

Mr. Ritchey is currently in the process of completing his Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) degree in Clinical Psychology at Nova Southeastern University. Mr. Ritchey obtained his Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Clinical Psychology at Nova Southeastern University in August 2009 and he obtained his Master of Education (M.Ed.) and Specialist in Education (Ed.S.) degrees from the University of Florida in 2003. Mr. Ritchey received his Bachelor of Journalism (B.J.) degree with minors in Psychology and Political Science from the University of Missouri in 2001. Mr. Ritchey has been a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (L.M.H.C.) since 2006, a Nationally Certified Counselor (N.C.C.) since 2005, and a member of the American Psychological Association (A.P.A.) since 2007.
